Project description

Montrose Avenue is very flat with deterioration caused by water sitting on the road pavement and along the kerb and channel. The existing asphalt road pavement has large cracks and general unevenness causing an inadequate ride for all road users. Montrose Avenue is integral to flood management for the local area and will incorporate significant drainage upgrade along with the road reconstruction.

The proposed scope of works will involve: • Reconstruct two sections of deteriorated blocks of Montrose Avenue with new kerb and channel, pram crossings, footpaths, vehicle crossings and asphalt pavement. • Install upgraded drainage system along Montrose Avenue including a network of 60 pits connecting concrete pipes ranging from 300mm to 1050mm in diameter.

Total cost of proposed project is $2,324,000
