Project description

The road is an unsealed gravel road with prolonged periods of dry and dusty conditions limiting visibility, corrugations and rutting during dry weather and limited or no access during prolonged wet weather. There is currently a high cost associated with maintaining the road to an acceptable service level to allow access for the residents and business properties along the road and has a crash history due to poor, corrugated conditions of the road surface.

Construct & seal Barber Road to allow all weather access for all traffic including residential and faming properties / enterprises, a school bus route, and heavy vehicles accessing the major grain storage facility to the south.

Total cost of proposed project is $4,466,646
