Project description

Existing road is narrow 5.7meters wide with dual use path 2.0 to 2.4meters wide on average. Motorists with caravans use the road that is shared with pedestrians and cyclists. The two parking bays at straight line kilometer 1.63 and 2.62 are unsealed and pot holed and in need of reconstruction and bitumen sealing.

Trim overhanging trees along the entire section of works both sides of the road and pathway, Widen the dual use path to accommodate the new works. Reseal the entire road and path to 8.4 meters, Line mark the new road carriageway with edge lines and centerline (3.1 meter lanes), install bike path separators (Raised pavement markers) along the edge of the road edge line markings to separate the vehicles from the pedestrians, install bike/pedestrian signage and stencils to dual path area. Full reconstruction and bitumen sealing of two parking bays at locations Straight Line Kilometer 1.63 and 2.62 Widen the road carriageway to 6.2 meters and the pathway to 2.2 meters (being , New Reseal bitumen/aggregate this will encroach onto the dual use path; widen the dual use path to the north to accommodate the widening of the road carriageway, install line markings and raised pavement markers to separate the motorists from the pedestrians.
