Project description

Very little gravel exists on much of the road resulting in corrugations that require regular grading over the summer months. One small section is affected by ground water during winter and is so soft it can be nearly impassable.

On the section that is affected by water during winter, box out to remove unsuitable material, line the excavation with geo-textile and fill with quartzite then form a gravel pavement over the top. On other sections where little or no gravel exists, form the existing surface to evenly graded crossfalls and import and place a 100 millimetre thick compacted pavement.

Total cost of proposed project is $86,624
