Project description

Patronage to the Redwood Forest park in East Warburton has increased tremendously over the last five years. To access this park tourists are required to cross the Yarra River via a sixty year old single lane timber bridge. The aim of this project is to upgrade this bridge to cater for additional tourist traffic and provide safety for vehicles and pedestrians.

Remove existing inferior timber bridge deck and replace with a higher capacity concrete deck, plus the provision of an attached pedestrian walkway.

Total cost of proposed project is $1,335,363
