Project description

The project involves the scoping and development of the upgrade of Sheahan Bridge on the Hume Highway in Gundagai to allow for heavy freight vehicles. Currently, the Sheahan Bridge cannot carry High Productivity Freight Vehicles without a pre-approved permit, which interrupts freight movements between Melbourne and Sydney. The scoped upgrades once delivered will improve heavy freight movements between Melbourne and Sydney along the Hume Highway.
