Project description

The project will upgrade existing intersections on Coreen Avenue at Coombes Drive (West and East) and install a new roundabout at the intersection of Coombes Drive and Hickeys Lane.

The Australian Government is providing $8,987,176.00 towards the project.

Construction is expected to commence in Mid 2026 and will be completed in Mid 2027.

Woodstock Road, Mount Waverley VIC 3149 - 059947-15VIC-RTR

Woodstock Road is a concrete road that was constructed around 1929-1930 and is now in poor condition with significant cracks and a large number of patches that are increasing in number over time as parts of the road fail. The existing surface is very rough in a number of locations. Along the western side of Woodstock Road no footpath was ever built and this are now needed as goat tracks exist and tripping points are located here due to the undulating nature of the nature strip. The drainage of the road is poor with areas where water ponds.The reconstruction of the existing concrete road pavement to address its current poor condition and drainage concerns. The road will be sloped to allow it to drain correctly into the existing kerb and channel which was reconstructed earlier in an attempt to correct this fault. The road width is to be maintained as the kerb and channel is not being removed. A footpath is being constructed along the western side of Woodstock Road. The length of road being reconstructed in Virginia Street is approx. 86m in length.Total cost of proposed project is $114,618

Point Sinclair Road (Rural Road, Penong – Point Sinclair Road) - 059948-15SA-RTR

The targeted section of road is low lying and become very dusty and corrugated in the summer and slippery after rain events, posing safety hazard to the public and local community.The work will involve reconstruction of the targeted section of road by 9 metres wide to improve safety and accessibility to the Point Sinclair jetty.

Moller Street, Oakleigh VIC 3166 - 059949-15VIC-RTR

The road surface is showing signs of significant deterioration with poor shape, potholes and access problems. In addition street trees are lifting the footpath and kerb and channel. This has led to the kerb and channel holding water. The existing drainage is insufficient for the road.Reconstruction/rehabilitation of the existing road pavement, kerb and channel and driveways to address pavement failure, shape, crossfall and failing kerb and channel. Provision of additional drainage to correct the drainage deficiency. The section of road being worked on is 9.3m wide and is approximately 178m in lengthTotal cost of proposed project is $360,000

Lever Street, Oakleigh VIC 3166 - 059950-15VIC-RTR
