Project description

This project will upgrade the 19km section of passenger rail between Kuraby and Beenleigh. It will double capacity from two to four tracks; realign tracks to improve travel times; install European Train Control System signalling; upgrade and relocate stations; deliver new park ‘n’ ride capacity; improve safety by removing five level crossings; and invest in interconnected network upgrades to make it easier and safer to walk, cycle and drive to and from stations.

Hagelthorn Road - 060111-15VIC-RTR

Safety issues due to sight lines for pedestrians and road users at intersection at Baillieu St/Hagelthorn Rd. Renewal of Hagelthorn Rd south side between Baillieu St East and Billson St due to major cracking of seal and pavement failure.Squaring up of intersection at Baillieu and Hagelthorn Rd by realigning road to improve road safety. Pavement rehabilitaton of Hagelthorn St south side with crushed rock overlay and stablisation works and sealing. Replace associated drainage, kerb, pits and pipes.Total cost of proposed project is $335,975

Murray St - 060112-15VIC-RTR

Onstreet parking area in road shoulder sloping steeply away from road and is unsealed. Kerb and channel is breaking up and not functioning as intended.Formalise on street parking area. Upgrade shoulder area, overlay with crushed rock and asphalt sealing and linemarking. Upgrade associated kerb and channel and pits and pipes.Total cost of proposed project is $106,156

The Grain Road (Rural Road) - 060113-15NSW-RTR

Road has deteriorated due to loss of gravel causing rutting, corrugations and exposure of larger stones. This is a school bus route and vehicle safety is a concern.Supply, spread and compact 150 mm of gravel

Tilpilly Road (Rural Road) - 060114-15NSW-RTR

Road has a natural surface formation which becomes impassable in wet weather. Gravel sheeting will improve access for light and heavy vehicles.Supply, spread and compact 150 mm of gravel.

Booberoi Road (Rural Road) - 060115-15NSW-RTR

Road has deteriorated due to loss of gravel causing rutting and corrugations. This creates a safety hazard for vehicles using this road in wet weather.Supply, spread and compact 150 mm of gravel over the 5 km length.
