Project description

Cotswold Road is very rough and is used by a variety of farming and commercial vehicles. Seal is only 3.8m and pavement is 5.0m (0.6m gravel shoulders). Being rough the gravel shoulders are often in a state of failure with quite poor drainage off the seal exacerbating the maintenance issues of edge breakages, potholes and shoulders being worn away. The roughness has implications for the maintenance and care of the vehicles using this road.

Complete, full width reconstruction including shoulders, verges, table drains and culverts. Stabilise 150mm; new 180mm thick 20mm FCR Class 2; with 4m seal and 1.5m shoulders as per the Council Road Management Plan.

Total cost of proposed project is $760,000
