Project description

The existing road was in extremely poor condition and deteriorating further. In its existing configuration, the road was not fit for purpose in that stormwater was not properly managed, the road shoulders and runoff areas were not well defined and the lane widths were narrow.

Reconstruction of Potts road including pavement removal and replacement with fit for purpose pavement, new seal, formalization of road shoulders and run off areas, installation of marker posts, installation of line marking, development of road side swales for stormwater management and upgrades to verge crossings for property access.

Woologarang West Road (Rural Road) - Part of the Savannah Way Cairns to Broome - 059521-15QLD-RTR

Repeated washing out of two roadway creek crossings. The two locations noted suffer severe washouts during most wet seasons and the severity of the damage is directly related to the magnitude of the wet season.To improve this road's flood resilience by installing two concrete floodways. To date the damage has generally been repaired under the NDRRA program. So additional funding is sort to improve the asset to resist this repeated damage.Total cost of proposed project is $810,177

Kyogle Road - 059522-15NSW-RTR

Gordon Road - 059523-15SA-RTR

Significant sheeting failure inpacting sub course, vehicles speed is impaired possible loss of control at posted speed.Road has graded sheeted surface which requires renewal, proposed to resheet the surface and rectify sub course damage.Total cost of proposed project is $165,550

Hall Road - 059524-15SA-RTR

Sheeted surface has major wear impacting vehicular comfort.Resheeting and sub course rectification as required to bring to as new conditionTotal cost of proposed project is $113,200

Windsor Road - 059525-15SA-RTR

Sheeted surface is worn and sub course is exposed, surface is uneven and vehicles can not travel at posted speed with saftey and comfort.Resheet the surface and rectify sub course damage were required.Total cost of proposed project is $58,000

Old Dublin Road - 059526-15SA-RTR

Sheeted surface has reached end of service life and requires renewal to prevent sub course damage and ensure safe vehicle transport at posted speed limit.Resheet the surface and rectify where needed sub course damage.Total cost of proposed project is $56,400

Sedan Dip Road - 059527-15QLD-RTR

This Section of Sedan Dip Road is 3km of 6m wide unsealed black soil road. As Sedan Dip Road is an arterial rural road linking McKinlay and Cloncurry Shires, and is subject to heavy stock movements and tourist traffic. This black soil road consistently requires work to address corrugations and during the wet season is subject to washouts and boggy conditions resulting in unsealed sections often being impassable for at least 2 weeks at a time. This segment of road requires sealing to provide all-weather access to the travelling public.Form and seal 3km of 6m wide unsealed black soil road. The starting point for the 3km section of works on Sedan Dip Road to be 29.5km from the Link Road intersection with Sedan Dip Road. Works also to include re-instatement of shoulders, road markers and signage.Total cost of proposed project is $800,000

SAVAS Street, Rostrevor - 059528-15SA-RTR

To address the structural integrity of the road pavement due to soil movement from very reactive soil and there are some drainage concerns. This road has a severe environmental deformation and cracking with moderate load induce cracking. Surface texture has a severe defect. Council's Pavement Management System has indicated that this road is warranted for total road reconstruction.The work will involve a full road reconstruction by total excavation of road base and replacement with a deeper granular pavement to ensure the structure and integrity of the road from possible future soil movement. These work will involve replacing existing kerbs, driveway, traffic control and improving the drainage system. The road pavement being treated is 485m in length and 8m in width.Total cost of proposed project is $363,550

CORONATION Avenue, Campbelltown - 059529-15SA-RTR
