Project description

Safety concerns due to vehicles queuing along Harold Road to enter the facility (Frankston Regional Resource and Recovery Centre) causing some vehicles to overtake on the wrong side of the road creating potential conflicts with oncoming traffic. Additionally, turning movements within and out of the facility is not currently accommodated and cause them to swing into oncoming traffic lanes to achieve the turning movement. The road is too narrow to cater for heavy vehicles resulting in vehicular conflicts.

Modification of the current entrance/exit of the "Frankston Regional Resource and Recovery Centre" to allow for large vehicle turning movements to address conflict points and also the construction of an additional lane along Harold Road to provide a dedicated turning lane for vehicles entering the facility.
