Project description

Road safety for all classifications of road users. This high volume arterial road has no clearly distinguishable line markings, and requires at minimum, centreline markings along its entire chainage. Crater Lake Road is classified as a Rural Secondary Road Class 5 Type B and C. An arterial road of 4.39 km in length, sealed with a pavement width of 6.50m. It links Batchelor Road and the Stuart Highway. It supports high volume of traffic, from local residential traffic to tourism in the peak season. It is a designated School Bus Route between the townships of Adelaide River and Batchelor and also supports cattle and produce movements.
