Project description

Increased traffic volumes due to large growth in development in the area. The Linsell Boulevard roundabout intersection with Berwick-Cranbourne Road is one such intersection that has major congestion issues during peak times. The existing Hardys Road T-intersection will also further contribute to congestion once the housing developments on Hardys Road are completed as it will serve as the primary connection to the arterial road. A signalised intersection is proposed at this location to manage traffic more efficiently.

Realignment and duplication of Linsell Boulevard between Selandra Drive and Berwick-Cranbourne Road and constructing a signalised intersection at the junction of Berwick-Cranbourne Road/Linsell Boulevard and Hardys Road. These works also include the removal of the roundabout at Linsell and Berwick-Cranbourne Road and a localised duplication of Berwick-Cranbourne Road for the new signalised intersection and construction of a portion of the unsealed Hardys Road.

Total cost of proposed project is $12,000,000
