Project description

This project will deliver intersection upgrades to enable triple road train access on the Flinders Highway at Charters Towers.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $4 million towards this project.

Timetable

Planning to determine the final scope, cost, benefits and timeframes of the project is currently being undertaken by Charters Towers Regional Council. This work is expected to be completed in 2026. Once completed, next steps will be determined by the Australian Government and Charters Towers Regional Council.
