Project description

The existing formation of the road is too narrow to accommodate the required 8m sealed road width. Additional to the narrow width the existing pavement is showing signs of rutting and shoving leading to safety concerns for motorists.

Reconstruct the existing formation complete with improved table drains to achieve a 9m formation complete with a 200mm gravel overlay and bitumen seal. Works will include guard rail on sub standard bends with a steep batters, minor curve realignment near McGaws roads and stormwater culvert upgrades

Total cost of proposed project is $4,159,500
