Project description

Range Road (rural road) located east of the townsite of Pingrup is a major arterial road and heavy traffic use causing corrugations in existing gravel and constantly blowing out causing dangerous driving conditions. This road is a major grain truck and school bus route. This is a continuation of sealing project from previous financial years with the future plan to have the entire length of the road sealed.

1) Locate and identify services. 2) Implement Traffic Management. 3) Removal and disposal of redundant material and debris. 4) Undertake vegetation clearing. 5) Undertake drainage works. 6) Undertake earthworks to design levels. 7) Import gravel. 8) Place 200mm gravel subbase (9200m3) compacted to Dry Density Ratio of 95%. 9) Place 200mm gravel base course (9200m3) compacted to Dry Density Ratio of 98%. 10) Trim batter slopes to 1:4 gradient. 11) Carry out compaction testing . 12) Bitumen sealing still to follow after wet season.

Beasley Road (Katherine Rural) - 060562-15NT-RTR

The section of the road was sealed under the R2R program previous year and it requires a second coat of seal to complete the works and to achieve the surface efficiency.Reseal Beasley Road from chainage 9.5 to 11.5 kilometres.

Raymond St Holbrook - 060563-15NSW-RTR

Road is in poor condition with significant pavement failures, and poor drainage, and poorly defined parking areas around major tourist infrastructureReconstruction of road including installation of drainage and kerb and channel and new parking areas around major tourist infrastructure (Submarine Park)

Cummings Road (Rural Road) - 060564-15NSW-RTR

Currently road has insufficient seal width (5.5m) and pavement is in poor condition, and with increasing traffic this is creating a safety issue for users.Reconstruction and widening of road to a 9m formation and a 7m seal.

Corowa - Rand Road (Rural Road) - 060565-15NSW-RTR

Shoulders of road have deteriorated significantly, which has led to a significant safety issues for passing vehiclesThe shoulders of the road will be reconstructed (stabilized and sealed)

Edith Farms Road (Rural - Katherine) - 060567-15NT-RTR

The current drainage structure at Granite Creek Crossing is in a poor condition and requires upgrade. There are both horticultural and pastoral interests who utilise this road and tourist, locals and fishermen accessing the Fergusson River.Upgrade Granite Creek Crossing.

Balldale - Walbundrie Road (Rural Road) - 060568-15NSW-RTR

Road is currently unsealed through winding bends, where a number of vehicles have left the road.Constructing and sealing 1km of road through the winding bends

Niblo Street, Doonside - 060571-15NSW-RTR

The pavement is heavily oxidised and displays cracking and other types of failure.Reconstruction of existing pavement.

Leslie Street, Blacktown - 060572-15NSW-RTR

The existing seal is oxidised and stripped. The pavement is displaying cracking in some areas. In general the shape of the road is acceptable.The treatment will involve some heavy patching and kerb and gutter repair. The wearing course will be treated with a 30mm mill and fill operation with AC10 over the entire area.
