Project description

The Dandenong Road, Sirocco Street and Central Avenue intersection has been identified as a location requiring upgrade to improve and enhance safety and accessibility for all road users. The purpose of the upgrade is to improve the safety and efficiency of the intersection operation as high traffic volumes, extended wait times, and poor sightlines for vehicles travelling on Dandenong Road and Sirocco Street contributes to motorists misjudging safe gaps in the traffic when making a turn movement.

Brisbane City Council is upgrading the Dandenong Road and Sirocco Street intersection at Jamboree Heights by installing traffic lights at the intersection with pedestrian crossing facilities to improve safety for road users, enhance the overall operation of the intersection, and improve pedestrian and cyclist connectivity.

Total cost of proposed project is $4,939,156
