Project description

The intersection configuration is deficient for the volume of vehicles expected to use the intersection after new developments. Unacceptable congestion and delay, particularly when exiting the side street. The deficiency is likely to extend to safety related issues

The project scope includes the installation of traffic signals with signalised pedestrian crossings, road widening, additional traffic and bicycle lanes, raised medians and pathways. The expected outcome of the project is to upgrade the intersection to improve capacity, safety and amenity for all road users.

Total cost of proposed project is $1,200,000
