Project description

Kajabbi Road is currently consists of a gravel formation. This form of pavement is problematic in wet weather, frequently resulting in the road being closed to all traffic. As this road is the main access to the Kajabbi township (and surrounding mining and pastoral operations), it is considered insufficient for the current traffic volume and heavy vehicle usage.

Upgrading the existing pavement by rehabilitating the sub-base (including insitu-stabilisation where applicable) and sealing the surface with a 2 coat seal.

Total cost of proposed project is $1,680,000
