Project description

The road pavement has experienced significant failures as a result of extensive rainfalls during 2021 and 2022. The road surface is heavily rutted, shoved, cracked and displaced with safety impacts to road users.

It is proposed to install subsoil drainage along the full length of the road, and on both sides where identified as needed. The road pavement will be rehabilitated and stabilised using either lime, flyash or cement (TBC with geotechnical investigation). The road will be surfaced with a 2 coat spray seal.
