Project description

Petherton Road is a category 3A road and is the main east/west connection of the Petherton area linking the area of North Booborowie with the major arterial road of Barrier Highway. It is a commodity route for 26m B doubles carting grain, hay and wool. Heavy vehicle usage increases during the seasonal harvest times. The existing road has reached the end of its life, extensive sub grade break thorough, potholing and poor crossfall.

Reforming of existing road surface, importing and spreading road base. Reshaping and cleaning of drains and culverts. The roads specification is to be 8m wide, 150mm pavement thickness and 3-4% crossfall.

Total cost of proposed project is $144,400
