Project description

Pavement and surface failures including shoving, stripping and bleeding posses a risk of collision. In addition to this the narrow winding nature of the road posses safety risks.

The project includes widening to 7m seal minimum, reshaping table drain, traffic control, lime stabilisation of sub-base to a depth of 200mm, addition of 150mm of thick base layer comprising of DGS/DGB material and a 14mm/7mm double coat sealed wearing course.

Cashmere-Kirrama Road, Kirrama - 055853-15QLD-RTR

The timber girders which support the 15m long timber running surface are in poor condition due to their age, water damage and some infestation from white ants.Proposed works include the removal of the existing timber girders and timber deck and replace with reinforced box culverts and undertake some minor roadway approach works.Total cost of proposed project is $304,884

Existing pavement is severly depleted of pavement material.Nominal pavement width to be increased to 4m. Renewal of low standard pavement with minimum 80mm fine crushed rock.Total cost of proposed project is $34,622
