Project description

The segments of road being worked on has significantly depreciated beyond what normal routine maintenance can manage. Following the completion of a road condition survey this section of road proved to be in the worst condition of all Regional roads and is in the highest priority for repair. It doesn't not meet the required standard for road width of a regional road. Transport has reduced the speed limit of this section of road due to the increased risk of road safety as a result of its poor condition

box out shoulders and widen to standardised road formation of 3.5m lanes with .5m shoulder. Overlay entire section of road with nominal 150mm imported gravel and stabilize as per established pavement design.
