Project description

The project will investigate the planning and scoping works for the following projects that are critical to facilitate construction of the Westport Project:
• Anketell Road West
• Kwinana Freeway
• Roe Highway widening
• Freight rail duplication and level crossing removal

Benefits

• Ensure reliable links between producers and markets, including through international gateways and intermodal terminals
• Supports broader national priorities such as supply chain resilience
• Facilitate critical infrastructure required for the Westport project
• Assist in additional container and port capacity for Western Australia

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $33.5 million towards the $67 million project.
