Project description

This project will deliver a new roundabout at the Princes Freeway exit ramp onto Wests Road and new signalised intersections at the Princes Freeway entry ramp from Werribee Main Road, the intersection of William Thwaites Drive and Werribee Main Road, and Ison Road and Werribee Main Road. It will also deliver an additional lane on the Werribee Main Road bridge across the Princes Freeway.

Benefits

The project will increase road capacity to support housing growth in Melbourne's west, and will reduce congestion and improve safety on the Princes Freeway.

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $125 million to jointly fund the project, with the Victorian Government also contributing $125 million. 

Timetable

The project is expected to commence construction in Q1, 2027 and is expected to be completed in Q3, 2029.
