Project description

Unsealed road with high tourist and caravan/boat trailer traffic. Insufficient pavement depth. Excessive surface roughness. Poor drainage due to formation shape and height. Poor quality road construction materials available locally to road.

Reshape formation and table drains. Raise overall height of formation. Construct new 7 m minimum width pavement to minimum compacted depth of 150 mm with a polymer-based additive incorporated into pavement material to strengthen and stabilise the reconstructed pavement and reduce pavement loss due to dust.

Total cost of proposed project is $1,481,508
