Project description

The project will deliver modelling, concept design, and economic analysis for upgrades to key interchanges on the Pacific Motorway between Tweed Coast Road at Chinderah and the Gold Coast Highway connection near the QLD border and planning for network improvements for the M1 Pacific Highway and Ewingdale Road intersection at Byron Bay to provide safe and efficient access to Byron Bay.

The project will undertake planning and design for potential upgrades which will enhance productivity, resilience, and liveability by increasing connectivity, efficiency and safety on the M1 Pacific Motorway.  

Funding

The Australian Government has committed $15 million towards this project.

Timetable

Delivery timeframes will be determined in consultation with the New South Wales Government.
