The road was in a very poor state with two major "bogholes" affecting drivers along this route. The road also was overtopped with minor flooding on occasions. Overgrown trees encroaching on/over roadway. The road is being upgraded from an unsealed road to a sealed road with addition of new culverts and driveways to access farm properties which will also be used by trucks during the harvest period. This will assist use as the main tourist thoroughfare to Ben Hall's Cave Lookout. The road is jointly funded with Fixing Local Roads.
