Project description

Existing sealed pavement has failed and requires renewal. Road also carries large number of heavy vehicles as a designated over dimensional and b-double route and requires upgrade/widening. Road also passes a local school and requires improved traffic management arrangements.

Renewal and widening of approximately 1km of sealed road pavement along Howard Street, Epsom between Bowles Road and terminating 235m before the Howard St/Midland Highway intersection. Includes construction of new roundabout at Goynes Road intersection. Project also includes renewal of approximately 450m of sealed pavement renewal along Goynes Road south of Howard Street including construction of a raised pedestrian crossing. Additional funding to be own source funding (rates revenue and/or financial assistance grants).
