Project description

Deteriorated road pavement and wearing surface due to aged pavement and heavy traffic volumes. Pavement upgrades are required to cater for projected growth and extend asset life.

Road Resurfacing Murray Street Port Macquarie (AIM 22131) from William Street (including Roundabout and approaches) to approx. 60m from Clarence Street intersection. Install a 170mm deep lift comprising 110mm AC 20 base course and 60mm AC 14 wearing course.

The timber girders which support the 15m long timber running surface are in poor condition due to their age, water damage and some infestation from white ants.Proposed works include the removal of the existing timber girders and timber deck and replace with reinforced box culverts and undertake some minor roadway approach works.Total cost of proposed project is $304,884
