Project description

• The road pavement has exceeded its design life and begun to show signs of failure, that are beyond the scope of preventive maintenance. • The existing kerb and channel has been subjected to environmental movement and is holding water in a number of locations. • Investigations have also highlighted locations of failed sections of underground drainage that requires reconstruction and remediation. • Pedestrian safety concerns around the existing configuration of the school crossing along Warringa Crescent.

• Reconstruction of the road pavement • Reconstruction of the kerb and channel on both sides of the road • Reconstruction of vehicle crossings • Reconstruction footpaths • Reconstruction of nature strips • Various methods of drainage remediation • Reconstruct the school crossing to meet current standards. • Install a Raised Safety Platform at the intersection of Warringa Crescent and Wiltonvale Avenue. The balance of the funding for this project is being sourced form Council Cash, from the 2025/26 Road Reconstruction Program, which has been incorporated into Council’s Annual Plan and Budget for 2025/26 as approved and adopted by Council on 24th June 2025.
