Project description

The purpose of the project is to renew the road pavement to provide a safe and trafficable road and continue investment into the Colac Otway Shire annual road reconstruction program. The project has the following benefits: 1. Restore the road surface to a safe and trafficable condition. 2. Increase the level of service provided to the community

The reconstruction of Sarsfield Road between Great Ocean Road and Harrington Street involves the replacement of the road pavement, replacing damaged section of the kerb and channel, formalising road shoulders and installation of 20m long new concrete pipe on the northern side of the road. The works will also include implementing no-stopping line marking and signage at narrower sections of the road. The project is to include all necessary works to provide a fit for purpose industry standard road, with a design life of 20 years.
