Project description

Bollon-Dirranbandi Road is one of Council’s heavily utilised routes, providing a vital connection between Dirranbandi and the Bollon township. Classified as a ‘Rural Arterial’ within Council’s road hierarchy, it serves as a key strategic heavy vehicle link between the Balonne Highway and major agricultural enterprises in the region. Although fully sealed, the high volume of traffic on this route leads to accelerated deterioration, resulting in significant ongoing maintenance costs for Council’s operating budget. Resealing sections of the road will enhance safety for all users by reducing surface hazards and extending pavement life. These upgrades will not only create a safer and more reliable network but will also reduce Council’s ongoing maintenance requirements, allowing resources to be redirected to other priority roads within the network.

Bitumen Reseal. This project is jointly funded by Dept of Transport & Main Roads TIDS funding.

Total cost of proposed project is $650,126
