Project description

The existing road is in poor condition with subgrade failures in a number of locations and the seal is generally less than 6.0 metres wide with narrow or no shoulders in place. Replace or extend culverts as required. Box out failing sections of the road and rebuild with suitable sub-grade, rip the existing surface and approximately 100 mm of pavement then prepare this surface ready for new gravel to be imported, spread and compacted to form a 9 metre wide pavement as per the design. Place a 2 coat spray seal, kerbing and sub-surface drains where required by the design. Project additional funding sources are Regional Road Group ($500,000) and Shire of Manjimup ($50,000), with Roads to Recovery ($200,000).
