Project description

The intersection of Queens Road and West Parade scored an average structural and surface condition of 5 out of 5 (5 being very poor). Recent visual inspections confirmed severe pavement deformation on Queens Road. This has been treated temporarily and a rehabilitation treatment is required to rectify in the long term. Main Roads WA has flagged the westbound lane of Queens Road/West Parade intersection is not sufficient to cater for truck turning movement. The westbound lane of Queens Road/West Parade intersection needs to be widened to rectify this.

Box out 350 mm soil and infill 350 mm gravel in widening area, in situ foamed bitumen stabilisation to a depth of 330 mm, profile off top 40 mm material, apply 7 mm granite primer seal, and lay 40 mm new asphalt concrete wearing.
