Project description

The existing timber bridge is load rated at 5T GVM. It requires replacement of the superstructure due to its dilapidated condition. The bridge is currently closed due to broken bridge girders.

Propose to replace the bridge superstructure, extend pavement seal to approaches, improve embankment and abutment protection works with a new layer of rock as rock armor on geofabric, introduce relieving slabs for energy absorption and widen one approach traffic lane for a vehicle waiting zone.

Total cost of proposed project is $356,436
