Project description

Gravel pavement is thinning along this section of road, causing the road surface to be slippery when wet for trucks. Road section has minimal crossfall not allowing water to shed to drains. To mitigate surface hazards the pavement will be resheeted with proper crossfall and a new primerseal will be applied to give lasting surface traction for trucks. The road section directly to the east of this one had been sealed in previous years, and this project works to extend the sealed network.

Gravel resheet of this section of road to 10 m width, then apply a 14 mm primerseal over the top. Will need to be resealed the following financial year. This project is partially funded by Roads to Recovery, with the remaining cost funded by Council.

Total cost of proposed project is $508,205
