Project description

Soldiers Lane requires formation and seal. The lane services the back of five properties which do not have access off Urquhart Street. Although gazetted, the full width of the road reserve is required to be formalised to improve equity of access, drainage, safety and functionality for surrounding residents.

The project aims to formalise this 120m long by 7m wide road which will improve access, use, safety and surveillance. Minor design of spoon drain will be required to control drain levels and discharge to Carbonate Street. Construct by tyning existing material with new aggregate, trim and finish roll followed by primer seal using 10mm aggregate followed by 7mm sprayseal. Central concrete swale will drain to a connecting pit and discharges to rectangular outlets with splayed concrete entranceway onto Carbonate Street. Bollard fenceline to be erected on western boundary of road reserve to control flow of non-residential through traffic. Installation new street name signs and no parking sign at the dead end.
