Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Auger Way, Margaret River - 056239-15WA-RTR
Current sealed road surface is in a degraded state, it has potholes, badly cracked and pavement is uneven.Reconstruct road pavement and surface.
Peachey Road (Davoren Park) - 056240-15SA-RTR
The current road has problems with its current configuration. This includes wide traffic lanes of 7 metres with no physical delineation which leads to cars overtakng each other along the road, poor road lighting, limited drainage infrastructure resulting in traffic hazards associated with local flooding, high number of pavement defects resulting in a high level of surface roughnessUpgrade of 0.775 kilometres of Peachey Road which consists of resconstruction of the existing road, upgrade of road lighting to category V5, provision of kerb protuberances, on street parking and pavement marking. New kerbing will be provided to improve drainage, in addition to improvement of the stormwater system to cater for road runoff. Construction of new wider footpaths on either side of peachey Road and landscaping of road verges and medians.Total cost of proposed project is $7,000,000
Myocum Rd, Myocum - 056241-15NSW-RTR
Reconstruction of failed pavement, widening of road, extention of drainage works, replacement of drainage works220mm Gravel pavement overlay over 500m of Myocum Road, widening of road to 8m width, extention of 900mm dual culvert 2 m each side of road, replacement of 300x900mmx12m box culvert with twin 375mmOD class 4 pipes.
Buller Road, (Rural Road) - 056242-15WA-RTR
The subject section of Buller Road has reached the end of its serviceable life. As the part of the route to Council's refuse site and to privately owned extractive industries it carries a high volume of heavy traffic which has contributed to its degredation. Pavement failures are evident throughout the section and are such that reconstruction is now required.Rehabilitation of the existing pavement through the importation of additional pavement material and the reuse via cement stabilisation of the existing pavement material. Bitumen sealing to a minimum of 7.0 metres in width.Total cost of proposed project is $245,500
Gap Road (Rural Road) - 056243-15SA-RTR
The current road has a speed limit of 100km/h however in its current condition is unfit for purpose. The existing sealed pavement is 5.9m wide and has severe wheel-rut depressions exceeding 100mm deep. There is also severe longitudinal cracking that is allowing moisture into the pavement and the subgrade. Gap Road is a regionally significant community access road and also a locally important freight route and safety of all road users will be improved by this upgrade.The work proposed to 2.5 kilometres of Gap Road includes a complete reconstruction from the subgrade to seal. The existing pavement has a 5.9m seal with grass covered shoulders. The new pavement will be widened to a 9m wide pavement at 400mm deep. This will be sealed to a width of 7.0m wide. Lane width of the roadway will be 3.1m and 4.1m shoulder of which 400mm will be sealed.Total cost of proposed project is $1,720,000
Millar Street, Waroona - 056244-15WA-RTR
Millar Street is an older street within the town site of Waroona. It is showing signs of severe pavement failure - rutting, cracking and subsidence - due to the reactive clays typical to this area.Removal of the existing pavement layer and the treating of the clay base material with stabilisation techniques to improve the performance of the natural material. Importation of new pavement material and asphalt sealing to modern standards.Total cost of proposed project is $172,719
Riley Road, Rural Road - 056245-15WA-RTR
Riley Road has a narrow sealed carriageway and is in poor condition due to age and poor drainage.Carry out limited clearing works to provide sufficient width to improve the open drainage. Reseal bitumen section to existing widths.
Whettem Road, Rural Road - 056247-15WA-RTR
Whettem Road was reconstructed some years ago however it has never received its second coat seal.Application of a hot bitumen reseal.
Hainge Road, Rural Road - 056248-15WA-RTR
Hainge Road is currently a narrow unpaved road with poor drainage. Traffic volumes have increased due to the building of several new houses in the area that use Hainge Road as access. Therefore the level of service it currently offers does not match the usage need.Improve open drainage, widen formation and resheet with new gravel material.
Anderson Street - 056249-15WA-RTR
Bitumen surface has recently been cracked sealed and now requires a resurfaceBitumen Reseal 10mm Metal
