Bilwon Road, Biboohra - 047404-12QLD-RTR
The existing causeway crossing over One Mile Creek is too low and is regularly overtopped by flood waters, which creates a severe safety hazard during the wet season for motorists. The proposed works include removal of the existing causeway and replacement with a new single lane concrete causeway and culverts with a finished level 1.0m higher then the existing structure to improve flood immunity and safety.Total cost of proposed project is $475,000
Mary Street, Malanda - 047406-12QLD-RTR
The existing pavement width is too narrow for the number of vehicles using the road. Mary Street has experienced an increase in the number and type of vehicles using the road, which has created the need for a wider pavement width to safely accomodate the traffic flow.Stage 1 (now completed) of this project included the widening of the bitument seal, from an existing width of 4.2m to a new width of 7.5m to match kerb and channel. This project is Stage 2 and includes the installation of kerb and channel around existing trees located in the centre of the road and asphalt overlay to the existing bitumen seal undertaken in Stage 1.
McKimmies Road, Mill Park - 047421-12VIC-RTR
Currently McKimmies Road is a rural road type construction in the urban area of Mill Park. The proposed works will upgrade the road to fit better with the surrounding residential development. It will also improve traffic flows at the roundabouts situated at each end of the proposed works.Proposal is to "urbanise" the road by providing concrete kerb and channel including underground drainage. Design will also incorporate on-road bicycle lanes.Total cost of proposed project is $1,300,000
Sirius Park Access Road, Mosman - 047436-12NSW-RTR
Road surface in poor condition. Potholes, cracking, and edge of road pavement breaking away. Some channel work proposed to improve surface water drainage as well as stabilisation of rock cutting. Resurfacing of wearing course.Total cost of proposed project is $140,000
Pacific Highway - Tintenbar to Ewingsdale Upgrade
This project involved the construction of approximately 17km of four lane divided road built to Class-M (motorway) standard. It links the Ballina bypass in the south to the existing dual carriageway at Ewingsdale in the north. The project included two interchanges and twin 434 metre long tunnels through St Helena Hill.
Wallamore Road, Westdale - 047442-12NSW-RTR
Intersection layout is sub-standard for current and heavy vehicle traffic and the existing pavement is rough and deformed due to heavy vehicle loadings.Widen the existing pavement to include an acceleration/deceleration lane, improve roadside drainage, re-construct existing damaged pavement and apply a bitumen seal over intersection. Length of works 360m, width of works varies.
M4 Smart Motorway
The National Smart Managed Motorways - M4 (Western Motorway) project undertook works to develop a concept design for the future implementation of a managed motorways system on the M4 between Concord Road, Strathfield and Lapstone.
Bruce Highway - Cooroy to Curra Section A
The Cooroy to Curra Section A project will realign approximately 13 kilometres of the Bruce highway from the Cooroy Southern interchange to Sankeys Road. The project includes duplication of the highway to four lanes, construction of a new grade separated interchange north of Cooroy and new bridges.
Yakadunia Road (Rural Road) - 046422-12WA-RTR
Road currently has a very poor surface condition with low lying areas which flood and become impassible. The road is a major road for alternative water supply for the Tjuntjuntjarra Aboriginal Community. To reshape the formation and improve roadside drainage for the full length of Yakadunia Road from 0.0slk to 85slk in varies locations.
Strezelecki Track (Rural Road) - 047428-12SA-RTR
The floodways to be upgraded scour heavily after moderate flows and cause road closures. There are also significant maintenance costs associated with the re-instatement of these floodways. The work will consist of excavating existing material and replacing with crushed rock, this will then be stabilised with cement and concrete toewalls will be constructed to prevent under-mining. The floodways vary in length from 100 to 200 metres and will be 10 metres in width.
