Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Yarrol Road, Monto Queensland - 048420-12QLD-RTR
Sections of the existing road is constructed from material which becomes slippery in wet weather. Other sections have poor quality gravel which becomes slippery in wet weather.Gravel resheet with superior quality gravel to a compacted depth of 100mm.
Varley North Road (rural road) - 048422-12WA-RTR
Road has a high traffic volume and deteriorates due to poor gravel surface, existing gravel surface is slippery and dangerous when wet.Reconstruct and seal 4.1km to 7m wide.Total cost of proposed project is $393,477
Pingaring Varley Road (rural road), locality of Pingaring, - 048423-12WA-RTR
Road has a high traffic voume and deteriorates due to poor quality gravel surface, existing gravel surface is slippery and dangerous when wet.Reconstruct and seal 2.80km of road to 7m wide.Total cost of proposed project is $325,150
Boundary Road (rural road) locality of Dudinin - 048424-12WA-RTR
Poor horizontal alignment, gravel base has deteriorated leaving road slippery and dangerous when wet.Widen existing road running surface, reconstruct and gravel for 5km to a width of 11m with 9m running surfaceTotal cost of proposed project is $74,713
Arbutus Street, Killarney - 048438-12QLD-RTR
Poor subgrade causing pavement failure; poor drainage causing kerb and channel to failPavement rehabilitation; construct new kerb and channel; and replacing failed kerb with new kerb and channel
Arwakurra Road (Rural Road) - 048439-12SA-RTR
Surface had worn down to such an extent that clay was visibleIt is proposed to resheet this road for a distance of 3.5kms
Fraser Street, Ormond VIC - 048442-12VIC-RTR
The road pavement, surface and kerb & channel have deteriorated over the years and need to be reconstructed. Also there are some issues with the condition of drainage pits and pipes that are to be renewed.The work involves reconstruction of kerb & channel and road pavement, providing 25mm asphalt surfacing and installation of new underground drainas along the street. Length of the road is 466m and the width is 6.6mTotal cost of proposed project is $470,000
Birdsville Track (Rural Road) - 048461-12SA-RTR
The existing road has poor drainage and after moderate rainfall the road is inundated with water which causes severe scouring and shoulder damage. As a result there are significant maintenance costs involved.The work will involve the reconstruction of a 400 metre section of road which will include the reconstruction of the vertical alignment and stabilisation of the newly constructed work. The work is 400 metres long by 12 metres wide.
South West Rocks Road - 048466-12NSW-RTR
Road pavement has failed due to numerous floods (3 this year) and heavy traffic loads over the past 2 years and the road now presents a dangerous situation to road users with large and numerous potholes and deflection to the surface.Reconstruction and stabilisation of the road pavement, together with resealing pavement.Total cost of proposed project is $1,100,000
Flinders Street, Melbourne - 048467-12VIC-RTR
The existing asphalt road surface is rutted and undulating with longitudinal and transverse cracking and has significant trench reinstatement patches.Proposed to cold plane profile the existing road surface to a depth of 50 millimetres (full width)for a length of 370 metres and a width of 8 metres including to a depth of 100mm in the heavily rutted and undulating areas and resheet with 50mm size 14 base course asphalt and over the whole area with 50mm type H wearing course hot mix asphalt.
