Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Gordon Street, Port Macquarie - 129078-24NSW-RTR
Deteriorated road pavement and wearing surface due to aged pavement and heavy traffic volumes. An intersection upgrade is required to cater for projected growth and to address current congestion.The overall project consists of the detailed design and construction upgrade of Gordon Street and Horton Street intersection from a roundabout to a signalised intersection. The project proposes to include new pavement works and line marking, new traffic signals, additional stormwater drainage and improved pedestrian crossing. The detailed design has now been completed, a Works Authorisation Deed (WAD) obtained from Transport for NSW and a contractor engaged to commence construction in August 2024. As the project is jointly funded, the balance will be paid by Council, including loan and reserves. With regard to the alternate funding sources • R2R funding as applied for • $254,663 development contributions, • $1,500,000 Loan • And the remainder is unexpended design/initiation phase funding carried forward from 2023/24Total cost of proposed project is $3,118,258
Blackmans Creek Road, Hartley - 129150-24NSW-RTR
Seal has come to end of life, subgrade needs repairs in 30% of the area and drainage lines need upgrading.To conduct heavy patching on areas of failure, to remove current seal, grade , compact and reseal, to add road base where necessary and maintain road width. Lithgow City Council will fund the balance of the project.Total cost of proposed project is $330,704
Yamba Road, Palmers Island - 129185-24NSW-RTR
Narrow section of road with multiple potholes and shoving contributing to pavement failures. Widen road width to achieve 12 m formation suitable for traffic volumes on Yamba Road. Lift and stabilise pavement layers to improve overall pavement strength. $2,000,000.00 of approved funding has been allocated from the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements to fix damaged pavement sections and contribute to achieve the full project.
Dog Trap Road (Rural Road) - 129184-24NSW-RTR
Existing unsealed gravel road pavement has deteriorated due to age and increased traffic volumes.Existing unsealed road section will be reshaped, side drains cleared and then re-sheeted with new gravel to a depth of 100 mm.
Owens Creek Loop Road, Owens Creek - 129097-24QLD-RTR
Addressing shoulder defects/dropoff.Shoulder grading and gravelling of road.Total cost of proposed project is $23,146
Walkerston – Homebush Road, Palmyra - 129096-24QLD-RTR
Addressing shoulder defects/dropoff.Shoulder grading and gravelling of road.Total cost of proposed project is $48,860
Munburra Road, Munburra - 128360-24QLD-RTR
Addressing shoulder defects/dropoff.Shoulder grading and gravelling of road.Total cost of proposed project is $123,454
Rabbiters Road (Rural Road) - 129183-24SA-RTR
Road is unsafe due to increased milk tanker heavy traffic servicing the local dairy industry and general farming activities causing water to pool on the road. Water cannot drain off the road due to ruts forming on the road pavement. Forms part of the infrastructure asset improvement plan for the Mount Schank locality.Reconstruct and seal road 1,700 m metre section, 8 metres wide. Additional funding from Council reserves.Total cost of proposed project is $270,025
Airport Road (Rural Road) - 129181-24SA-RTR
Road is being maintained, as a high traffic road. Evidence of potholes occurring if it is not resealed, with the road loosing it’s skid resistance, causing major safety concerns. Forms part of Councils asset renewal program.Reconstruct and seal 1,250 metre section, 8 metres wide. Additional funding from Council reserves.Total cost of proposed project is $197,182
Briggs Road, Honeywood - 053356-14TAS-RTR
The existing road base has deteriorated resulting in frequent pothole repairs, and needs to be reconstructed. The intersection with Baskerville Road had poor sightlines visibility so a dip in the road is to be raised to improve safety of the intersection. The currently alignment and width doesn't meet Australian Standards so the road will be widened so that it meets the standards.Earthworks are required to improve the alignment of the road. The existing pavement will be stabilised and new widening pavement constructed to bring the road up to standard. The works will be completed with a new base layer and 2 coat seal.Total cost of proposed project is $1,200,000
