Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

East West Link
East West Link is a proposed 18 kilometre freeway that will connect the Eastern Freeway at Clifton Hill with the Western Ring Road at Sunshine West.  East West Link is proposed to be constructed in two sections: Eastern Section (Stage 1) – A six kilometre link that will connect the Eastern Freeway at Clifton Hill to CityLink at Parkville.  This section may be delivered through a Public Private Partnership.  A contract with the preferred consortium, East West Connect, to construct and operate the Eastern section, was signed on 30 September 2014. Western Section (Stage 2) – A 12 kilometre link that will connect Appleton Dock Road at the Port of Melbourne to the Western Ring Road at Sunshine West. Port Connection – A separate link connecting CityLink at Parkville to Appleton Dock Road at the Port of Melbourne.
East West Link – Western Section (Stage 2)
Fishermans Bend Transport Link Feasibility Study
The Fishermans Bend Transport Link Feasibility Study will determine the best way to deliver public transport links into the heart of Fishermans Bend.
Ison Road Overpass
The project will construct a road overpass bridge across the Melbourne-Geelong Railway line connecting Ison Road with the proposed Ison Road Extension. The project will construct: • A four-lane overpass (approximately 500m) with a design speed of 80km/h • Overpass embankment formation and bridge deck future-proofed for six lanes • Shared User Path, on-road bike lanes on both carriageways, as well as a cycle path under the overpass on the northern side • Median barrier between carriageways • Barriers between the traffic lanes and Shared User Path on both carriageways. • Anti-throw screens
Western Freeway Upgrade between Melton and Caroline Springs - Business Case
The business case will explore options to upgrade the Western Highway between Melton and Caroline Springs including assessing road safety risks, congestion and delays, and producing future proof upgrades.
Wollert Rail Feasibility Study
This project will develop a feasibility study which considers better transport options for the City of Whittlesea, including connections to Epping North and Wollert.

Upgrading of gravel road to bitumen standard and full redesign of existing inersection for heavy vehicle traffic management and is part of an overall bitumen seal through to the Quipie-Windorah Road (part of the Jericho - Windorah link).Redesign of intersection to cater for all heavy transport vehicles and to meet current design stanadards for intersectionsTotal cost of proposed project is $400,000
Opalton Road - Winton - 122205-22QLD-RTR
Realign a series of curves/turns in the road that are unsafe due to small radius / poor road geometry. History of vehicles 'running off the road'.Realignment of road centerlines and adjustment of curve radius and establishment of correct road geometry to provide safe traffic passage. Joint funding with TIDS.Total cost of proposed project is $300,000
