Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Beringarra Pindar Road (Rural Road) - 065367-16WA-RTR
Heavy Vehicle Services will not endorse Restricted Access Vehicle Network 7 until 4 metre grids are replaced with 8 metre grids. Currently, only vehicles under 19 metres can traverse the roads, adversely effecting the pastoral and general contract freight businesses that service the area. Restricted Access Vehicle Network 7 will allow vehicles up to 36.5 metres to traverse the roads.Replace 3 x 4 metre grids with 8 metre grids

West East Main Road, Belyuen - 065369-16NT-RTR
Three problems along this road Problem 1 intersection of wake road and the west east road to be widened on the west east part of the intersection. Intersection is very narrow and only one vehicle can move at a time because there is not enough room for two vehicles. Problem 2 approximately 200 metres from the intersection on the eastern side of the road the road shoulders to be repaired and taken back to original width and height. Problem 3 approximatey 200 metres on the western side of the intersection there is a cement drain hole that needs to be cleaned out and removable grates installed both sides of the drain. open drain areas to be cleared and widened. Approximately 2metres from the intersection there is another concrete drain that needs to be cleaned out and removable grates installed. The open part of the drain to also be cleaned out and widened. These two cement drains are part of the same drain that runs parallel ie west - east along the road where the work is to be undertaken.Problem 1 Install speed humps and signage approximately 10metres from the intersection on the east-west road. Install give way signs at the intersection. Repair shoulder of road - approximately 200 metre on the west side of the intersection - bring road back to its original width and height. Clean out and install removable grates to the concrete drains approximately 200 metres from the intersection on the western side. Remove foliage and widen the open part of the drain. Clean out and install removable grates to the concrete drain approximately 4 meters from the intersection. Remove foliage and widen the open part of the drain.
Augusta Street, Laverton - 065371-16WA-RTR
Poor drainage, uneven road surface, narrow lane width, lack of wheelchair and pedestrian crossing access,Install new kerbing with wheelchair ramps, reducing median strip widths, improving parking bay access, rectifying drainage issues, installing pedestrian crossings and resurfacing with asphalt as part of a main street upgrade
Mickleham Road Service Road, Westmeadows - 065373-16VIC-RTR
The existing intersection does not permit egress onto Mickleham Road from Hillcrest Drive or the service road. This creates conflict as service road traffic can not enter the main carriageway and terminates in the local road network.Upgrade the intersection to allow safe egress from the service road to the main carriageway without conflict with Hillcrest Drive. Additionally, allow vehicle exit from Hillcrest Drive to Mickleham Road without negotiating travel on the service road.
