Old Wongan-Koorda Road (Rural Road) - 138897-26WA-RTR
2 km Gravel Re-sheet - Degraded pavement and ongoing maintenance. Import 100 mm of suitable material, spread and compact.
Brooker Road (Rural Road) - 138797-26SA-RTR
3.2 km of unsealed road in need of re-surfacing due to normal wear over time. Re-sheet 3.2 km of open surface road to upgrade surface, Additional funding from Council's annual budget.
Lipson Cove Road (Rural Road) - 138795-26SA-RTR
7.8km of unsealed road in need of re-surfacing due to normal wear over time. Re-sheet 7.8km of open surface road to upgrade surface. Additional funding from Council's annual budget.
Rabbit Proof Fence Road (Rural Road) - 138900-26WA-RTR
2 km Gravel Re-sheet - Degraded pavement and ongoing maintenance. Import 100 mm of suitable material, spread and compact.
Diagonal Road, Coles - 138869-26SA-RTR
The road requires full reconstruction due to its narrow width, failed pavement, and inadequate road and shoulder drainage. As a critical freight route, with heavy vehicles accounting for approximately 55% of traffic, it experiences significant rutting, potholing, and drainage issues. The Regional Transport Plan identifies the road as having major deficiencies in geometry, width, and pavement strength. The proposed works include widening and reconstructing the pavement, improving drainage, and sealing the road to provide a fit-for-purpose route capable of supporting future traffic growth and increased heavy vehicle loads.
Railway Social Club Road, Hughenden - 138915-26QLD-RTR
Railway Social Club Road currently exhibits pavement deterioration, edge break, surface defects, insufficient parking provision and localised drainage deficiencies. These issues contribute to reduced serviceability, increased maintenance costs, safety risks and limited accessibility for road users accessing the Railway Social Club precinct and surrounding community facilities. Works will include the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the existing road pavement, upgrading the drainage and a two-coat bitumen seal.
Hogarth Road, Elizabeth South - 138871-26SA-RTR
The project includes the reconstruction of a 1.65km section of Hogarth Road from Philip Highway to Main North Road. The project also includes the reallocation of road space to provide a parking lane, indented bus bays, protuberances and full-time bicycle lanes (Philip Highway to Trimmer Road and Mofflin Road to Main North Road), resulting in a narrower travelled way, encouraging lower speeds and reducing the cost of rehabilitation.
Bethel Road, (Rural Road) - 138770-26SA-RTR
The Bethel Road upgrade project will deliver a fully sealed connection between Horrocks Highway and Thiele Highway, converting the entire road length from an unsealed to a sealed surface over a three-year program. Stage 3 represents the final phase of this work. As a route identified as a 'Regionally Significant Freight Route' in the Northern and Yorke LGA’s 2030 Regional Transport Plan, the upgrade will enhance safety, accessibility, and efficiency for commercial and local traffic. Sealing the road will reduce dust, noise, and maintenance requirements, and may support future gazettal for Restricted Access Vehicles, improving its freight-carrying capacity
Hume Freeway - Glenrowan Rest Area
This project involved expanding and upgrading the existing truck stop, located northbound on the Hume Freeway near Glenrowan, to a truck rest area with increased capacity for heavy vehicles.  The upgrade included parking bays for B-doubles, new toilet and picnic facilities, ramp realignment and the installation of signage, lighting and guardrails.
Bollen Road, Mount Barker - 138829-26SA-RTR
The project includes widening and reconstructing the pavement, increasing the carriageway width from 6 m to 7.2 m between Thiele and Allen Streets. Bus stop locations will be upgraded, including adjustments to existing and new stops. Raised platform intersections between Fry and Allen Streets will manage vehicle speeds within the urban area. Stormwater improvements, including upgraded side entry pits, increased drainage capacity and new kerbing, will also be delivered. The trail, footpath and associated lighting are funded separately through the Active Transport Fund.
