The Australian Government is committed to a 10-year, over $120 billion infrastructure investment pipeline, ensuring a rolling program of sustainable land transport infrastructure projects.

The Government is working in partnership with states and territories to deliver a credible and sustainable pipeline of projects which support a range of economic and social objectives, including productivity and resilience, sustainability and liveability.

Reconstruct road to improve traffic flow

Corackerup Road (Rural Road) - 138030-26WA-RTR

The proposed works involve gravel resheeting of Corackerup Road from SLK 6.24 to SLK 10.00 (3.76 km), including preparation of the existing formation, reshaping to a typical 4% crossfall, and reinstatement of table drains and culverts to ensure effective drainage. Works will involve scarifying the existing surface, then supplying, placing, and compacting new gravel (sourced from Shire-nominated pits within a 25km lead) to achieve a 100 mm compacted thickness, graded to a smooth, trafficable finish. The works aim to restore pavement condition, improve safety and trafficability, and form part of the Shire's ongoing road asset renewal program.

Giles-Mulga Park Road, rural road - 138595-26WA-RTR

Degradation of road surface. Routine maintenance grading to ensure access to remote Aboriginal communities.

Papulankutja Road, rural road - 137962-26WA-RTR

Due to recurring road surface failures (increased traffic and flooding), road reconstruction works to include reconstruction of the existing road using existing material and the importing of additional material. Reconstruction of the existing road using existing material and the importing of additional material.

Church st, Cowes - 138950-26VIC-RTR

The road surface has multiple cracks and road surface is deteriorating. Fixing it now will help stop it from getting worse. Scope of work included replacing deteriorated kerbs to restore proper drainage function and edge support, and Spray sealing the road to prevent water ingress and future pavement failures.

Magitup Road (Rural Road) - 138024-26WA-RTR

The proposed works involve gravel resheeting of Magitup Road from SLK 0.00 to SLK 2.52 (2.52 km), including preparation of the existing formation, reshaping to a typical 4% crossfall, and reinstatement of table drains and culverts to ensure effective drainage. Works will involve scarifying the existing surface, then supplying, placing, and compacting new gravel (sourced from Shire-nominated pits within a 25 km lead) to achieve a 100 mm compacted thickness, graded to a smooth, trafficable finish. The works aim to restore pavement condition, improve safety and trafficability, and form part of the Shire's ongoing road asset renewal program.

Warrego Highway - Jingi Jingi Creek Upgrade

This is one of the 20 projects being delivered as part of the Australian Government's $508 million commitment to the Warrego Highway Upgrade Program. The project replaced the existing structurally defective and load restricted culvert with a concrete bridge, and widening of the existing approaches.

Jackitup West Road (Rural Road) - 138040-26WA-RTR

The proposed works involve gravel resheeting of Jackitup West Road from SLK 7.25 to SLK 9.25 (2.00 km), including preparation of the existing formation, reshaping to a typical 4% crossfall, and reinstatement of table drains and culverts to ensure effective drainage. Works will involve scarifying the existing surface, then supplying, placing, and compacting new gravel (sourced from Shire-nominated pits within a 25km lead) to achieve a 100mm compacted thickness, graded to a smooth, trafficable finish. Jackitup North Road (Rural Road) - 138042-26WA-RTR

The proposed works involve gravel resheeting of Jackitup North Road from SLK 3.00 to SLK 3.86 (0.86 km) and SLK 6.26 to SLK 8.00 (1.74 km), a combined length of approximately 2.60 km, including preparation of the existing formation, reshaping to a typical 4% crossfall, and reinstatement of table drains and culverts to ensure effective drainage. Works will involve scarifying the existing surface, then supplying, placing, and compacting new gravel (sourced from Shire-nominated pits within a 25 km lead) to achieve a 100 mm compacted thickness, graded to a smooth, trafficable finish.
