Australian Privacy Principle 5 Notice

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Your personal information will be stored securely by the department. It may be used by the department to make further contact with you about the consultation process. Your personal information will not be disclosed to any other third parties, except in the circumstances outlined below.

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Confidential submissions (including author name) will not be published. Private addresses and contact details will not be published or disclosed to any third parties unless required by law.

Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Automatically generated confidentiality statements or disclaimers appended to an email do not suffice for this purpose. If you wish you make a confidential submission, you should indicate this by ensuring your submission is marked confidential.

Confidential submissions will be kept securely and will only be disclosed in the following circumstances:

  • in response to a request by a Commonwealth Minister;
  • where required by a House or a Committee of the Parliament of the Commonwealth of Australia; or where required by law.

The department may also disclose confidential submissions within the Commonwealth of Australia, including with other Commonwealth agencies, where necessary in the public interest.

Please note that in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals in accordance with the Privacy Act any submissions containing sensitive information, personal information or information which may reasonably be used to identify a person or group of people may not be published, even if not marked as confidential.

Tasmanian Freight Rail Revitalisation - Tranche 1 and 2
The Freight Rail Revitalisation program helped to raise the quality of the major lines on the Tasmanian rail network through selective sleepering and track replacement. Culverts were strengthened, drainage and formation works undertaken and level crossings upgraded. These works built on upgrades under the previous Australian Government funded program that were designed to keep the lines at an operational standard, with the objective of improving overall safety, reliability and thereby competitiveness of the rail network. The Freight Rail Revitalisation program consists of two projects - one for Tasmanian rail lines on the National Land Transport Network (the Network), and one for those off the Network (Off-Network).
North-South Corridor - Torrens Road to River Torrens
The project involved the upgrade and widening of South Road from Pym Street to approximately 100 metres south of the River Torrens, including a 4 km non-stop section of roadway (which incorporates a 3 kilometre section of lowered motorway) and the grade separation of two major arterial roads (Port Road and Grange Road).  Work also included an overpass of the Outer Harbor rail line and improved cycling and pedestrian facilities.
Bruce Highway – Boundary Road Interchange
The project involves the upgrade of the Boundary Road Interchange approximately 30km north of the Brisbane CBD and will include a new six lane, four span concrete bridge over the Bruce Highway.
Kang Kang Road, Aurukun - 057231-15QLD-RTR
The area adjacent to the existing airport access currently creates dust and drainage issues from the unsealed areas. The roadway is currently used as an informal car park for on-street parking, however is not currently wide enough, with parked vehicles often extending into the road carriageway creating a safety hazard.Widening of the road/seal including linemarking to delineate the on-street parking bays. Concrete kerb and channel (layback) or a concrete invert drain will be required to support the edge of seal. This will reduce dust, improve safety by defining the on-street parking arrangements and improve drainage.
Maules Creek Road (Rural Road) - 059317-15NSW-RTR
The road has a damaged existing seal with road base and sub-base deterioration facilitating minor drainage repairs.Initially accomplish minor drainage repairs as needed followed by required base and sub-base layer stabilisation where required. Bitumen re-sealing is completed to protect the road base and improve road surface.
Gwabegar Road (Rural Road) - 059320-15NSW-RTR
The road has a damaged existing seal with road base and sub-base deterioration facilitating minor drainage repairs.Initially accomplish minor drainage repairs as needed followed by required base and sub-base layer stabilisation where required. Bitumen re-sealing is completed to protect the road base and improve road surface.
Gwabegar Road (Rural Road) - 059325-15NSW-RTR
The road has a damaged existing gravel driving surface with road base and sub-base deterioration facilitating minor drainage repairs.Initially accomplish minor drainage repairs as needed followed by required base and sub-base layer stabilisation where required. Installation of new gravel driving surface is completed to improve road surface.
Black Mountain Creek Road (Rural Road) - 059326-15NSW-RTR
The road has a damaged existing gravel driving surface with road base and sub-base deterioration facilitating minor drainage repairs.Initially accomplish minor drainage repairs as needed followed by required base and sub-base layer stabilisation where required. Gravel re-sheeting is completed to improve the road surface.
Gardens Road, (Rural Road) - 059327-15NSW-RTR
