Tablelands Highway - Road Upgrading
The Tablelands Highway is a major highway in the Northern Territory essential to the transportation of cattle, connecting the Barkly and Carpentaria highways. This project involves upgrades to approximately 32km of the Tablelands Highway to improve safety and efficiency for heavy vehicles transporting livestock, as well as for other road users.  The works will include upgrading to a two-lane sealed standard, pavement strengthening and widening and flood immunity improvements.
Margaret Street, Kinglake West - 055058-14VIC-RTR
Existing pavement has badly deteriorated and is unsafe for vehicles due to the many pothole patches and irregularities on the road surfaces.Renewal of low standard pavement with minimum 80mm fine crushed rock.
Macklins Rd, Merton - 055059-14VIC-RTR
Existing pavement is severly depleted of pavement material.Nominal pavement width to be increased to 4m. Renewal of low standard pavement with minimum 80mm fine crushed rock.
Shaws Rd, Gobur - 057113-15VIC-RTR
Existing pavement is severly depleted of pavement material.Nominal pavement width to be increased to 4m. Renewal of low standard pavement with minimum 80mm fine crushed rock.
Nichol Place, Boddington - 059625-15WA-RTR
This Cul de Sac’s bitumen surfacing is effectively at the end of its useful life and the current surface suffers from cracking, potholing and brittleness of the surface due to many years of the effect of ultra violet exposure reducing the surfaces plasticity.Nichol Place Boddington will be resealed using Polymer modified bitumen, which is a type of rubberised bitumen with a 14mm/7mm double seal which is well suited to sealing over existing surfaces that are cracked and heavily deteriorated due to age.
Forest Street, Boddington - 059627-15WA-RTR
Forest street surface profile is still good but the surfacing itself is nearing the end of useful life and it is heavily cracked. This Project involves resurfacing this section of street due to very extensive cracking. The cracking has been crack sealed already and it is felt that resealing with Polymer modified (rubberised) bitumen with a 14mm/7mm double seal will enable the new surface to better withstand any tendency for cracking to recur or reflect through the new surface since the rubberised bitumen is particularly good in this application.
Doolan Road (rural road) - 059648-15NSW-RTR
Gravel loss over time and drainage problems, leading to rough road surface and excessive maintenance of this section of road to meet service levels.Perform drainage maintenance; vegetation control; supply, spread, compact and trim natural gravel pavement material to improve pavement strength and restore an appropriate cross section to the road.
Cherrys Lane, Toolangi - 063218-15VIC-RTR
Existing pavement has badly deteriorated and is unsafe for vehicles due to the many pothole patches and irregularities on the road surfaces.Renewal of low standard pavement with minimum 80mm fine crushed rock.
Telford Road, Narbethong - 063244-15VIC-RTR
Existing pavement has badly deteriorated and is unsafe for vehicles due to the many pothole patches and irregularities on the road surfaces.Renewal of low standard pavement with minimum 80mm fine crushed rock.
Gobarralong Road (Rural Road) - 064660-16NSW-RTR
Existing road surface is very narrow with little shoulder causing safety concerns due to high volume of heavy vehicles. Pavement condition is poor showing extensive cracking and rutting. This route is classified as a B-double route with a quarry and a large number of farms being serviced along this road.Lime Stabilise existing subbase and overlay with gravel to strengthen and widen the road. All culverts along this section will be replaced and widened as many are close to failure. New road to have a formation width of 9m and seal width of 7m. The total length of the project is 1.34km
