Major Projects Business Case Fund

The Major Projects Business Case Fund (MPBCF) initiative supports the development of robust major project business cases for nationally significant projects and enables the Commonwealth to engage early with states and territories in planning processes to ensure broader Commonwealth objectives are considered as projects are developed.

In the 2023-24 Budget, the Australian Government committed an additional $200 million over 2 years into the MPBCF.

Your submission, including any personal information supplied, is being collected by the department for the purpose of seeking public and industry comment on the approach and content of its proposed cost estimation guidance, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (the Privacy Act).

Submissions, in part or full, including the name of the author may be published on the department's website or in the Government's response, unless the submission is confidential. Submissions will only be treated as confidential if they are expressly stated to be confidential. Greendale Road, Bringelly - 058921-15NSW-RTR
Pavement has reached the end of the serviceable life and is demonstrating signs of extensive cracking, rutting and failures.Pavement reconstruction with 150mm asphalt concrete for along Greendale Road on either side of Dwyer Road intersection including regarding of shoulder, table drain and upgrade of intersection at Dywer RoadTotal cost of proposed project is $715,289
Victoria Avenue, Concord West. - 058922-15NSW-RTR
The road has deteriorated with signs of structural pavement failure resulting in uneven surface. This road is also partly located along the commercial area.To renew the road using environmentally sustainable pavement: Ascrete and Toner Pave.Total cost of proposed project is $155,000
Henley Marine Drive, Five Dock. - 058923-15NSW-RTR
The road pavement is showing signs of structural failure resulting in uneven surface.Repair patches of failing pavement with 100mm Asphalt (AC28), mill 50mm surface to reseal/fill with 50mm Asphalt (AC14). Works include traffic control, line marking, and management of road profiled materialTotal cost of proposed project is $300,000
Queen Street, Concord West. - 058925-15NSW-RTR
Improving the condition of road. The pavement is failing at places, together with the deforming surface, the road surface has become uneven.Repair patches of failing pavement with 100mm Asphalt (AC28), mill 50mm surface to reseal/fill with 50mm Asphalt (AC14). Works include traffic control, line marking, and management of road profiled materialTotal cost of proposed project is $350,000
Market Street, Guildford - 058927-15WA-RTR
There is cracking of the wearing courseOverlay the full length of the road using a stone mastic aspahlt to reduce the potential for future crackingTotal cost of proposed project is $115,417
Richmond - Croydon Road (Rural Road) - 058928-15QLD-RTR
The existing road is a gravel section between two bitumen surfaces. The gravel road gets heavily corrugated by roadtrains carting cattle. This section is prone to flooding and heavy vehicles get stuck on the road during wet weather.It is proposed to form and shape up the existing road to allow for the correct crossfall. 300mm new gravel pavement will be added to the formation and bitumen sealed to 6.2m wide. Existing table drains and road shoulder will be regraded to allow controlled drainage of storm water.Total cost of proposed project is $616,000

ForsaythEinasleigh Road (Rural Road) - 058930-15QLD-RTR
The road is currently unsealed and is considered unsafe especially as it is frequented by Road Trains as well as Tourists. presently the width being 6.0 metres contributes towards a low margin of safety.Form the road with imported gravel type 2.1 followed by a bitumen seal over 2.2 Km and of width 8.0 metres including suitable drainage.Total cost of proposed project is $686,006
Penny's Road (Rural Road) - 058931-15WA-RTR
Reseal on an aged single coat seal which is salt affected and prone to potholes.Reseal to improve road condition.
Pauley Road (Rural Road) - 058932-15WA-RTR
Final seal of last year's primer seal, funded by Roads to Recovery. Road condition was poor as heavy usage of the road led to consistent corrugating and high maintenance.Resealing to complete final works of this section of road.
