Major Projects Business Case Fund

The Major Projects Business Case Fund (MPBCF) initiative supports the development of robust major project business cases for nationally significant projects and enables the Commonwealth to engage early with states and territories in planning processes to ensure broader Commonwealth objectives are considered as projects are developed.

In the 2023-24 Budget, the Australian Government committed an additional $200 million over 2 years into the MPBCF.

Terrybrook Road, Llandilo - 058966-15NSW-RTR
The road was originally constructed in 1975 and is already failed with numerous potholes and patching due to the increasing traffic and inadequate pavement materialsIt is proposed to stabilise existing pavement to a depth of 250mm and to provide 30mm asphalt wearing surface for a length of 500 metres and a width of 7 metres.
Ilewarr Road, Wilora - 058967-15NT-RTR
Need to reinstate the shoulders that scoured and damaged.Need to Stop the dangerous practice of vehicles cutting corners that threatens the lives of children and pedestrians. This will also control the damages to the corners of the road intersections.Reinstatement of shoulders,Concrete kerbing at intersections, Widening the road pavement up to kerb edge at intersections, install sign boards.
Moore Street, St Clair - 058968-15NSW-RTR
The road was originally constructed in 1972 and is already failed with numerous potholes and patching due to the increasing traffic and inadequate pavement materialsIt is proposed to heavy patch and 50mm overlay for a length 220 metres between Melville road and Macarthur Street and to mill 130mm and replace with 130mm deeplift asphalt for a length of 175 meters between Macarthur Street and Endeavour Avenue and a width of 12 metres.
Carpenter Street, St Marys - 058969-15NSW-RTR
The road was originally constructed in 1968 and is already failed with numerous potholes and patching due to the increasing traffic and inadequate pavement materialsIt is proposed to mill to a depth of 150mm and replace with 100mm deeplift asphalt base and 50mm asphalt wearing surface for a length of 370 meters and a width of 12 metres.
Anmatjere street, Wilora - 058970-15NT-RTR

Eighth Avenue, Llandilo - 058973-15NSW-RTR
The road was originally constructed in 1980 and is already failed and the section is being maintained with pothole and heavy patchingIt is proposed to stabilise failed section of pavement to a depth of 300mm and to provide 50mm asphalt wearing surface for a length of 200 metres and a width of 8 metres.
Castlereagh Road, Castlereagh - 058974-15NSW-RTR
The road was originally constructed in 1978 and is staring to fail and delaminate few sections due to the increasing traffic and loss of bitumen form wearing surfaceIt is proposed to heavy patch as required and 50mm asphalt wearing surface for a length of 1 kilometre and a width of 8 metres.
Waratah Road, Kirrawee - 058975-15NSW-RTR
Road pavement has exceeded its service life and is need of renewal. Significant pavement failure. Surface cracking, potholes due to pavement base and sub-base failure.Full width (9.5m) road rehabilitation over 2000 sq.m pavement area. Road pavement work include 200mm thick foam bitumen stabilised base layer and 50mm thick asphalt wearing surface
Maianbar Road, Maianbar - 058976-15NSW-RTR
Existing surface course oxidised and little stone remaining in the seal. Lime leachate visible at the surface, with seepage water causing pavement cracking. Narrow road shoulders, vegetation intrusion in to the existing shoulders.Full width road construction including lane widening, shoulder reconstruction and vegetation trimming. Pavement rehabilitation works over 5700 sq.m of pavement area. Work include 150mm thick cement stabilised base course and application of two coat bitumen seal using 14mm/10mm aggregates. Extended scope to include sealed shoulders and provision of cycleway.
